Internships are the cornerstone of experiential learning for our students.  Each semester, approximately 75 legal studies majors go out into the community working along side lawyers, judges, and community activist impacting Central Florida.  Would you like to host an intern?  Contact us now to see how.

The Legal Studies Department has two ways to reach out to graduates for perspective employment.  Each semester we create a resume bank filled with qualified candidates for an assortment of legal positions.  Simply contact us so we can provide these resumes to you.

However, our most successful program for job placement is a virtual job board where we can spread the word about your organization directly to our 750 majors immediately.  Let us know how we can help you hire your next employee.

With numerous classes full of eager students, the faculty in the Legal Studies Department is always looking for community members to guest speak.  Whether it be environmental law, aviation law, military law, or a more traditional topic, interaction with practitioners enhances the learning experience for our students immeasurably. If you would like to guest speak in a class, please contact the department to see how your expertise can make a difference is a student's education.

Judge a Tournament

UCF Legal Studies hosts each year both a collegiate Moot Court Tournament in partnership with FAMU College of Law and the Southeastern Regional Mock Trial Tournament connected with American Mock Trial Association.

These tournaments see anywhere from 100 to 200 students from across the nation compete.  However, to put on these events, we need legal professionals who can act as judges.  With CLE credit typically provided, judging is a great way to mentor future attorneys while having fun at the same time.  If you would like to be a judge for a tournament, please contact our office.

Become a Coach

In addition to hosting two national tournaments, UCF Legal Studies has both a Moot Court Program and a Trial Team Program.  With both teams nationally ranked, their continued success is dependent on the kindness of practitioners volunteering their time to coach the teams.

If you would like to be involved with either program, please contact our office so we can connect you with the appropriate Faculty Adviser.

Join A Curriculum Committe

Curriculum Committees help ensure the rigor and academic standards of our classes to turn out capable and qualified students.  Whether they go onto law school or immediately into the workforce, ensuring that our students have a mastery of legal concepts is a top priority in our department.

With this in mind, faculty often seek the assistance of outside practitioners to develop curriculum that both challenges and educates the next generation of Legal professionals in Central Florida.  If you have an interest in assisting us with securing the quality of a UCF Legal Studies education, contact us today.
